Master course Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

The master course Applied Mathematics and Computer Science builds on the Bachelor course of the same name. It takes two years and is arranged in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Aachen. The course of studies is research oriented and has as goal the independent mathematical modeling and simulation of scientific and technical processes. JSC is participating as a partner with several lectures.

Guest student programme on Scientific Computing

Each summer JSC hosts a guest student programme for 10 weeks. Within the programme, students with a major in natural sciences, engineering, computer science, or mathematics will get the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different aspects of scientific computing. Together with local scientists, they will work on a variety of current topics in research and development.

PRACE Summer of HPC

The PRACE Summer of HPC programme offers summer placements at HPC centres across Europe to late-stage undergraduate and master’s students. Participants will spend two months working on projects related to PRACE technical or industrial work and produce a report and video of their results. JSC has participated in this programme since 2014 as a host.
