The FutuRSI project will develop a prototype service organization for research software engineering with distributed teams in order to evaluate how such a service should be designed at federal level. A concept will be created based on the experience gained and documentation from the individual work steps required for the prototypical development of a Germany-wide organization. These include the recording, comparison and coordination of the individual service portfolios, the definition of standards and the harmonization of processes, the definition of responsibilities and contact persons for a joint service portfolio as well as communication and outreach measures.
