Quartz Crystal Microbalance
Quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring system (QCM-D) measures change of mass and viscoelasity of material on the surface in real time. Frequency and dissipation are monitored simultaneously and give information about mass and rigidity. Adsorption/desorption, chemical reaction, and structural change on the surface in liquid can be analyzed in nanogram sensitivity.
