Magnetic Field Sensors

Magnetic Field Sensors Group

About

The “Magnetic Field Sensors” group is working on frequency mixing magnetic detection of nanoparticles for biosensing application, for instance magnetic immunoassays, and on low field nuclear magnetic resonance. The aim is to establish magnetic label-based immunoassays which employ the highly specific interaction between antigenes and antibodies in conjunction with magnetic nanoparticle markers for the detection and quantification of specific biomolecules.

Research Topics

In Magnetic Particle Sensing, the magnetic response of magnetic nanoparticles is measured by Frequency Mixing Magnetic Detection.

Magnetic Particle Actuation is achieved by applying a magnetic gradient field.

A Low Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance setup has been realized for biological imaging.
