Long-term archiving

Our team designs, builds and operates long-term archives (LTA) for several communities:

• LOFAR (LOw Frequency ARray)
• ILDG (International Lattice Data Grid)
• GLOW (The German Long Wavelength Consortium)

DEEP

For the DEEP Prototype, our team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of its hardware and infrastructure. Our key responsibilities include:

• Monitor hardware and infrastructure components, such as liquid cooling, using CMK monitoring software
• Perform minor on-site hardware interventions and coordinate RMA repairs or replacements with the vendor
• Handle support requests
• Administer local storage systems

EasyBuild

• Software installation on production systems at JSC with EasyBuild
• Part of a big team across all divisions at JSC
• Installation on pilot systems like DEEP
• Installation on the WSG

"JOFUS" Jülich Office for User Services

First point of contact for users in the following areas:

• Access via VPN, WLAN
• Certificates
• Managing OE contact persons
• Account management for the WSG (WorkStation Group)
• Account management for HPC systems
