IBM, BG consortium, Totalview, and JSC experts will provide first-hand knowledge on how to port applications to the Blue Gene/P system, debug them on large numbers of nodes, and how to scale existing Blue Gene codes to the new full 16-rack Blue Gene/P system of JSC.
The workshop is open to everyone (not just users of JSC or even IBM systems)!
Goals
In this workshop you will:
- Get a first-hand overview of the Blue Gene/P architecture from IBM representatives
- Begin hands-on porting and tuning of your application with IBM and JSC staff assistance
- Learn how to debug applications running on a large number of nodes from Totalview experts
- Understand transitioning from the Blue Gene/L to the Blue Gene/P
- Be able to investigate scalability of your code and perform scaling experiments upto the full 16-rack (65.536 cores) system
[For projects with an already scalable Blue Gene/L application code]
