Goals

The workshop "Open LUSTRE-for-Linux" aims at bringing together representatives of HPC centres, HPC vendors and HPC user communities from Europe and from overseas.

Several sites will present their specific LUSTRE installations, their requirements and their ideas for the future of parallel file systems.

The goal is to define a common position concerning the future of LUSTRE for Linux in Europe and its relation to activities for the promotion of LUSTRE overseas. Emphasis is put on the organization of the future development of LUSTRE for Linux in Europe and the creation of suitable support structures.

Participants

Representatives of computer centres, vendors and user communities in HPC with interest in the future development and support of an open LUSTRE parallel file system for all Linux based platforms. The number of participants is restricted to 50 persons.
