Jülich UNified Infrastructure for Quantum computing

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Culture and Science are supporting the establishment of JUNIQ with € 5 million in funding from each. With JUNIQ, the "Jülich UNified Infrastructure for Quantum computing", Forschungszentrum Jülich is creating an infrastructure that is unique in Europe and that enables different user groups to gain user-friendly access to quantum computing. JUNIQ is a uniform quantum computing Platform as a Service (QC-PaaS), offering European users support and access to quantum computer emulators and quantum computing technologies of different types and levels of technological maturity. JUNIQ will integrate quantum computers in the form of quantum-classical hybrid computing systems into the modular HPC environment of the Jülich Supercomputing Centre.
