JUNIQ organizes annual summer schools, international workshops and topic specific courses for quantum computing applications.

In consultation with its users, JUNIQ will organize annual summer schools and international workshops, with the goal of creating a German and a European user community from industry and science for the application of quantum computing, and of establishing contact with the US user community.

Trainings

Quantum Computing Core Training: Quantum Programming with D-Wave

JUNIQ funds 12 places in D-Wave’s "Quantum Computing Core Training: Quantum Programming with D-Wave". The training is designed for prospective principle investigators who have only little or intermediate experience of using quantum computer and annealers. Dates:

Introduction to JUNIQ-Cloud

Starting by the end of summer 2022, JUNIQ will offer regular 1-day trainings for new users of the JUNIQ-Cloud platform. Attendees will be introduced to various quantum modules that are available in the Qiskit-based programming environment.

Advanced training for quantum annealing and gate-based quantum computing

Starting by the end of summer 2022, JUNIQ will offer regular 1-day trainings for advanced users. Experts will teach special topics of quantum annealing and gate-based quantum computing as well as support the attendees to develop their own code to solve provided problems.

Summer schools

JUNIQ’s spring school on quantum computing

JUNIQ’s spring school on quantum computing will take place from 27th to 31st of March 2023 at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. Experts will present latest research in various topics such as quantum information processing, quantum algorithms, benchmarking approaches. In hands-on sessions, attendees will learn to develop and execute quantum algorithms on various quantum devices.

Quantum computing in schools

How to explain quantum computing in school? In a hands-on workshop, teachers study simple concepts of quantum computing and quantum algorithms. Dates:
