Training and Events

JUNIQ organizes schools, international workshops and topic-specific courses related to quantum computing applications. In consultation with its users, JUNIQ also organizes schools and international workshops, with the goal of creating a German and a European user community from science and industry for the application of quantum computing, and of establishing contact with the US user community.

Overview of Events

Trainings

Quantum Computing Core Training: Quantum Programming with D-Wave
JUNIQ funds places in D-Wave’s "Quantum Computing Core Training: Quantum Programming with D-Wave". The training is designed for prospective principle investigators who have only little or intermediate experience of using quantum computer and annealers.

Advanced training for quantum annealing and gate-based quantum computing
JUNIQ offers regular 1-day trainings for advanced users. Experts teach special topics of quantum annealing and gate-based quantum computing, and support the attendees to develop their own code to solve provided problems.

Quantum Computing Schools

JUNIQ Schools on Quantum Computing
JUNIQ Schools on Quantum Computing usually take place twice a year at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. Experts present latest research in various topics such as quantum information processing, quantum algorithms, benchmarking approaches. In hands-on sessions, attendees learn to develop and execute quantum algorithms on various quantum devices.

Workshops

Quantum Computing in Schools
How to explain quantum computing in a school? In a hands-on workshop, teachers impart simple concepts of quantum computing and quantum algorithms.

Hackathons

JUNIQ & eleQtron Quantum Hackathon
As part of the EPIQ project, JUNIQ and the startup eleQtron yearly offer a quantum hackathon at the JSC for students and professionals who want to challenge their quantum computing skills.
