Data Protection

Data protection legislation in Germany is based on the understanding that the personal rights of the individual citizen enshrined in the constitution could be endangered by IT processes. The provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and sections of a number of other laws aim to “protect the personal rights of individuals from being infringed in the handling of their personal data„. Various internal regulations, such as internal agreements, are also in force.
All employees who work with personal data are instructed in the data protection regulations. If you have any questions please contact the data protection officer:
Frank Rinkens (IKM), tel. 9005, r.rinkens@fz-juelich.de
