Useful Websites for International Employees

Make it in Germany

“Make it in Germany” is the multilingual “Welcome to Germany” portal for international qualified professionals. It is run by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. “Make it in Germany” informs qualified professionals who are interested in immigrating about their career prospects and shows them how to organize their move to Germany – and what makes it worthwhile to live and work here.

The National Coordination Point at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research) is an information and advice point for internationally mobile researchers wishing to come to Germany or go abroad to work in research. It is part of the EURAXESS Services Network across Europe. The objective of the centres is to facilitate international mobility amongst scientists and scholars.

On the website you will find general information about working and living in Germany (for example insurance schemes, social security, taxation, German research landscape, etc.)
