ATML Data Management and Analytics

We develop and operate generic data services for publication and sharing, as well as community specific data services. We offer data services to user communities with large volume storage needs. Our philosophy is to jointly operate community specific services with user communities. This ensures the user communites get access to services appropriate for them. So far, a collection of generic data services is available in production. All services are backed by a large capacity shared storage, allowing to store data volumes in the range of Petabytes (PB).

We allow scientists to add value to their data by offering services beyond computing and mere hosting.

Data projects

With data projects, we grant additional storage space on the HPC file systems. One of these storages can also be connected to Cloud resources.

We also operate UNICORE and Cloud services integrated in various federated infrastructures.

Federations

Authentication and authorization infrastructures

AAI allows users to authenticate based on the authentication mechanisms of their home organizations. To this end, infrastructure providers must agree on common sets of attributes about users.
