A large variety of different experimental techniques, such as multi-dimensional confocal fluorescence spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, are employed to investigate molecular biocatalysts, and the interplay of molecular conformations and biological function of single molecules.
