Exchange of Library Expertise – Visitor Group from Oman at ZB

On 19 August 2014, the Central Library (ZB) welcomed a group of employees from the Library of the German University of Technology (GUtech) in Oman.

The visit was jointly organized by the Central Library of Forschungszentrum Jülich and the university library of RWTH Aachen University in connection with JARA, the collaborative research alliance between RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

The director of the Department of Library & Information Systems at GUtech, Mr Mansoor Al Shabibi, and his team were accompanied by Dr. Eschenbach, deputy director of the university library at RWTH Aachen University. The visitors found out about the resources and functions available in the reading room, the user options and technical details of the JuLib eXtended information portal, and the management of licences for electronic resources.
