Deal Reached with Springer Nature – Another Leap Towards Open Access

After almost three years of negotiations, the German scientific organizations under the umbrella of Project DEAL have signed a nationwide publish-and-read contract with the major scientific publisher Springer Nature that covers all Springer journals. Titles from Nature are excluded from the agreement.

Along with allowing access to around 2,400 journals, this also makes open access publishing without any additional costs possible from the beginning of this year.
