ZB Involved in Launch of New Project “Transform2Open”
14 January 2023
At the beginning of the month, the project “Transform2Open”, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), was launched and will run for 36 months. The University Library of the University of Potsdam, the Helmholtz Open Science Office, and the Central Library (ZB) of Forschungszentrum Jülich are collaborating on this project.
Transform2Open addresses the financial dimensions of the open access transformation. The Central Library is coordinating the cost monitoring work package and focuses on strategies for monitoring costs associated with publishing at scientific institutions. The work package aims to document the current status of cost monitoring, prepare suggestions for its further development, and create guidelines that can be used at other scientific institutions.
More information on the project’s additional objectives, the partners involved, events held as part of Transform2Open, and the future progress of the project can be found on the project website.
