Our Research Software

An important aspect of INM-7's work is the development, implementation and evaluation of new methods and tools such as pipelines, software tools and analysis platforms, which are essential for the evaluation of large amounts of data. Enabling research through open science and therefore making our developments available to the scientific community as free software tools is part of our mission. Below you will find further information about the tools and services we provide.

Virtual Office Hours

Various working groups offer regular virtual office hours, which are open to outsiders. All office hours are coordinated in freely accessible Matrix chat rooms.

JuBrain Anatomy Toolbox

The JuBrain Anatomy Toolbox (a.k.a. SPM Anatomy Toolbox) is an SPM plugin with probabilistic cytoarchitectonic maps for combination with functional neuroimaging data.

JuLearn

julearn is a user-oriented machine-learning library. At the Applied Machine Learning (AML) group, as part of the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine - Brain and Behaviour (INM-7), we thought that using ML in research could be simpler.

JuSpace

JuSpace is a toolbox allowing for cross-modal correlation of MRI-based measures with nuclear imaging derived estimates covering various neurotransmitter systems including dopaminergic, serotonergic, noradrenergic, and GABAergic (gamma-aminobutric acid) neurotransmission.

DCTS Webtool

The DCTS webtool is an online Dimensions and Clustering Tool for assessing schizophrenia Symptomatology based on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).

DataLad

DataLad aims to provide access to scientific data available from various sources through a single convenient interface and integrated with your software package managers (such as APT in Debian).

PyMVPA

PyMVPA is a Python package intended to ease statistical learning analyses of large datasets.

StudyForrest

Studyforrest is an open invitation to anyone and everyone to participate in a decentralized effort to explore the opportunities of open science in neuroimaging.

Connectivity-Based Parcellation (CBP)

Regional connectivity-based parcellation (CBP) is a procedure for regional mapping by long-range connectivity profiles (Eickhoff et al., 2015), revealing brain organization within a region-of-interest (ROI).

GingerALE

GingerALE is the BrainMap application that is used to perform an ALE meta-analysis on coordinates in Talairach or MNI space. GingerALE can also be used to convert coordinates between MNI and Talairach spaces using the icbm2tal transform.

ANIMA

ANIMA is the Archive of Neuroimaging Meta-Analyses.

JTrack

JTrack is a plattform to collect digital phenotyping information via participants’ smartphones, developed by the group ‘Biomarker development’.

NeuroDebian

NeuroDebian provides a large collection of popular neuroscience research software for the Debian operating system as well as Ubuntu and other derivatives. Popular packages include AFNI, FSL, PyMVPA and many others.

Junifer

junifer is a data and feature extraction library, developed by the group ‘Research and Infrastructural Software Engineering for Machine Learning (RISE-ML)’.

Joblib HTCondor Backend

The Joblib HTCondor library provides an HTCondor backend for joblib to easily queue jobs on high throughput computational clusters using HTCondor.
