MicrobiomeSupport Project Legacy (2018-2022)

Towards coordinated microbiome R&I activities in the food system to support (EU and) international bioeconomy goals

The Coordination and Support Action (CSA) MicrobiomeSupport had the mission to create an international network of experts and stakeholders in the field of research on the microbiome in the food system, thus contributing to the implementation of the EU FOOD 2030 strategy.

It was coordinated by AIT and INRAE as co-coordinators (duration November 2018 - October 2022). A total of 27 partners from the EU as well as IBF countries and two associated international partners were involved to integrate their expertise from research and innovation on plant, terrestrial, animal, human and aquatic microbiomes.

The IBG-2 supported here above all in the activities for an international cooperation for the support of the International Bioeconomy Forums (IBF).

The project “MicrobiomeSupport” has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 818116.
