Poster Award for Keitaro Kasahara
Keitaro Kasahara received the BEST POSTER AWARD for his poster entitled “Shaping spatiotemporal oxygen landscapes in microbial single-cell analysis”, which he presented at the Annual Conference 2023 of the Association for General Microbiology and Applied Microbiology (VAAM) from 10-13 September 2023 in Gottingen. Keitaro Kasahara received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the prestigious Keio University in Tokyo. He was awarded with the JASSO Japanese Scholarship for a period of three years to do a PhD research project at the RWTH Aachen University. In the Microscale Bioengineering group he is developing a multilayer microfluidic chip technique, enabling to control oxygen during single-cell analysis in a spatiotemporal manner.
