Start-Up Transfer.NRW funding for the MiBioLab spin-off project
The spin-off project MiBioLab (Microbial Bioprocess Lab) from the working group of Prof. Oldiges at IBG-1 will receive funding from Start-Up Transfer.NRW from 1 April. The aim is to establish a contract research organisation that offers industry an R&D service for accelerated bioprocess research. The shorter development times for bioprocesses will accelerate the market entry of sustainable products. The unique selling point is the automated microbioreactor platform developed at IBG-1 and the expertise of the MiBioLab team. The prospective founders Vanessa Schmitt (Business Development), Michael Osthege (Automation and Data Science) and Bertram Geinitz (Bioprocess Engineering) are delighted to have received support for their start-up project from the European Union and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
