BioökonomieREVIER_Inno: Innovation labs

Second funding phase: 14 innovation labs grouped in three topics: innovative agriculture, biotechnology and plastics technologies and integrated biorefinery

The bioeconomy has been identified as an important area of potential for the future as part of the structural change in the Rhenish mining area. Due to the outstanding initial situation, there is an excellent opportunity to give the region an identity-creating perspective in addition to economic opportunities. The idea of developing the BioökonomieREVIER Rheinland as a pilot region for the regional application of circular bioeconomy concepts has been taken up in recent months by stakeholders from various sectors and has already been successfully initiated with pilot projects. The aim of the project is to make structurally effective use of the innovation potential in the region, particularly at the interfaces of bioeconomy-energy-digitization through the further development of the BioökonomieREVIER innovation laboratories.
