The Plant & Animal Genome Conference is a conference with a focus on recent developments and future plans for plant and animal genome projects. Members of the group of Prof. Usadel will present their results in five talks in the time from January 12-17, 2024 on the PAG conference in San Diego, CA, USA.

Prof. Usadel will present talks with the title “The Genome of the Chinese Lantern, Alkekengi officinarum, and Its Comparison to New World Physalis Species” on Friday, Jan 12. After this he will present talks with the title “Adaptation of Camelina to Heat and Drought Stress Using Multi Omics Approaches” and “The Pangenome of the Wild Tomato Species Solanum pennellii” on Sunday, Jan 14. Also on this day, Sanam Kazemi will present a talk with the titel "Unraveling the genetic blueprint of the precious spice, saffron crocus: challenges and complexities of large polyploid genomes assembly" and Marie Bolger will present the tool “Helixer” in a talk.
