Softwares & Webservers in the Usadel group

The group of Prof. Usadel developed and published sevreral algorithms and softwares which enable and support the editing, evaluation and interpretation of genomic and transcriptomic data. Public databases are also developped and maintained.

Trimmomatic | Trimm and Preprocess NGS Data

Trimmomatic is a command line tool that performs a variety of functions for Illumina paired-end and single-end sequencing data, including sequence trimming and adapter removal. It is a flexible and efficient NGS preprocessing tool, which greatly improves downstream applications.

Mercator | Classify and Annotate Plant Genomes

The Mercator pipeline automatically assigns gene functions to protein or nucleotide-sequences. For this, Mercator utilises the „BIN“-ontology of MapMan.

MapMan | Visualize Plant Omics data

MapMan visualises data from gene expression analyses. Genes or proteins with a common function (for example in the same biosynthetic pathway) are visualised and evaluated together. Mercator assigns the annotations for this. Changes in processes and pathways can be revealed, visualised and evaluated quantitatively.

PlaBiPD | Database of crop plants genomes

PlaBiPD is a comprehensive platform of plant genomes.

                                GXP The Gene Expression Plotter

GXP is a tool for RNA-Seq and Metabolomics data visualization and analysis. It is entirely running in the user´s web browser.
