FAIR together – Launching the Collaboration between the NFDI DataPLANT and the HMC Hub Information at IBG-4 & IAS-9
The HMC Hub Information [https://helmholtz-metadaten.de/de/information/overview] and the NFDI Consortium DataPLANT (NFDI4Plants) [https://nfdi4plants.de/] now starts a direct collaboration at the Jülich Research Center.
The European Project BreedingValue Officially Launched
BreedingValue aims on breeding of new resilient and value-adding berries. As one of 20 partners from eight different countries IBG-4 is researching in the EU-funded BreedingValue project to improve strawberry, blueberry and raspberry varieties. On January 20th and 21st, the project partners met for a virtual kick-off meeting to get the project started officially.
Our new BioSC-project ToxPot
Potato tubers are not the fruits of the potato, however potatos also have fruits, so called potato berries. These are inedible because of their high content of glycoalkaloids.The project ToxPot will investigate if these unutilised aboveground parts of the potato plants including the potato berries and their plants secondary metabolites could be of further use.
Since eight years, Prof. Björn Usadel is one of the worldwide most cited scientists
Six scientists of the Forschungszentrum Jülich and other scientists from other organisations belong to the worldwide most cited scientists. Prof. Björn Usadel from the institutes section Bioinformatics (IBG-4) reached this for the eighth time.
Start of the EU-funded project GLOMICAVE
The EU project GLOMICAVE started on November 1st, 2020. GLOMICAVE stands for “GLobal OMIC data integration on Animal, Vegetal and Environment sectors”. The project is funded for 3,5 years as part of the EU's Horizon 2020-Transforming European Industry funding.
