Cover letter
Keep your cover letter short and succinct (approx. 1 page).
Outline why you are applying for the job and explain what qualifications make you a suitable candidate.
For planning purposes, please state the earliest date that you could start working at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
CV
Please structure your CV clearly, for example in tabular form.
Please document all stages of your professional career. State the period of employment, the name of the company/institution and your position, and provide a brief description of the activities you performed. Ideally, you should focus on experience that is particularly relevant to the advertised position.
Further contents of the CV might include: information on further education and continuing professional development, language skills, IT expertise, and methodological knowledge, or an overview/excerpt of your publications (in the case of applications for academic positions).
A photo is not required.
Attachments
In order to provide us with a comprehensive overview of your professional career to date, we ask you to provide us with a copy of the degrees, certificates, testimonials etc. for each stage of your education and working life, if possible.
All information should be legible.
Letters of reference when applying for a doctoral position
If you are applying for a doctoral position, you can name one or more potential references in the online application form so that we can request a letter of reference if necessary. You may also upload existing letters of reference as file attachments.
