Groups can visit Forschungszentrum Jülich on working days (Monday to Friday).

Size of group: 10 people or more.

The duration of the programme varies between two and six hours (depending on what was agreed with the group in advance).

Forschungszentrum Jülich offers guided tours in German and in English. Please let Visitor Service know what language you require by emailing besucher_uk@fz-juelich.de.

Visitors’ reception at the main gate (“Hauptwache”) to Forschungszentrum Jülich

Groups must use the main gate (“Hauptwache”) to access campus.

Access is not possible through the other gates (e.g. L264 road / “Hambacher Tor” gate).

There are sufficient parking spaces on campus.

If you arrive by coach, we assume that the group can use the coach for the full duration of the visit. This makes it easier to get to different parts of campus. If this is not the case, please let us know in advance by emailing besucher_uk@fz-juelich.de.

Yes, bicycle tours of campus are possible. You can either bring your own bicycle or we can provide you with bicycles (no e-bikes). Please email us: besucher_uk@fz-juelich.de.

Should there be any delays on the day of your visit (e.g. traffic jams), please call us on 02461 61-9366 or 02461 61-4662.

Yes, your group will have their own guide. The guide will stay with your group throughout the day, coordinate all programme points, and be available to answer questions.

For lunch, visitors’ cards can be purchased for € 16.00 each.

Any money left on the cards after lunch can be refunded at the machines.

To ensure that visitors’ cards are issued promptly, it would be helpful if you could collect the amount required in advance (e.g. during the journey).

Alternatively, lunch costs can be billed together in a single invoice sent to you by post. In this instance, we need a billing address. The invoice cannot be settled on site.

Please let us know your preferred method of payment at least five working days before your visit.

If you book lunch, we assume that all tour participants will eat lunch in the canteen.

Bringing and consuming your own food is not permitted in the Seecasino.

Photos and videos, including for personal use, are not permitted on campus.

In exceptional cases: if you plan to take photos or videos, please contact us in advance.

Backpacks and bags are not permitted in the laboratories. We assume no liability for this.

Please note that campus is not fully accessible. Please let us know in advance if any participants have accessibility needs related to mobility, so that we can take these into account when planning. Let us know in advance by emailing Visitor Service: besucher_uk@fz-juelich.de.
