Magics at IBG-4: The DataPLAN tool to easily create a data management plan
The Data Management Plan (DMP) is now required in most grant applications and is still often a challenge to scientists. It makes sense of course to plan the orderly and accessible storage of data in advance, yet the creation of the DMP is a challenge for most scientists and researchers. There is now a solution for this: At IBG-4, Xioran Zhou and colleagues developed the DMP generator "DataPLAN" as part of the National Research Data Infrastructure DataPLANT. DataPLAN supports researchers in creating DMPs that are compatible with requirements for DFG, Horizon2020- Horizon Europe applications. DataPLAN can be found at this link:
The paper on this tool is now published in the journal "Data" and was previously published on BioRxiv where it already found favor in the "Laborjournal", where it was described in the July 2023 article titled "Created as if by magic":

In fact, you are guided step-by-step through the creation and at the end, somewhat magically, you receive a DMP that you can submit with your application and/or use for your own project and data management.
