“My work focuses on water – specifically the catchment area of the Rur and Erft rivers. Flooding occurs here time and again, while the region could also face increasing drought and water scarcity in the future. At the Solution Lab Rur-Erft, we develop water management strategies using artificial intelligence, digital twins, and local practical knowledge to cope with these extreme events. Together with stakeholders, we then test the solutions in an interactive solution room.”
