Our Welcome Guide provides you with information to help you prepare for your first day at work. It also includes tips and recommendations to help you quickly find your feet during your first few weeks. The Welcome Guide features information on the following topics:

Welcome Day

Are you still finding your bearings at Forschungszentrum Jülich? Do you want to find out more about its structures and its current priorities in terms of research and strategy development? Do you recognize the value of a good network and are you keen to meet colleagues from different areas of Jülich? Then the Welcome Day offers you an excellent opportunity for exchange!

Onboarding and onboarding mentors

A change of employer typically involves major changes – getting to know new colleagues, work tasks, and processes. During this reorientation phase, support is particularly important. That is why we provide leaders and onboarding mentors with guides and checklists to help new employees get off to a successful start at Forschungszentrum Jülich.

If you would prefer to be supported by a female mentor rather than a male mentor during your onboarding phase, please feel free to discuss this with your future superior in advance. It is important to us that new employees feel comfortable expressing their wishes. We will assess each request on a case-by-case basis to determine whether we can accommodate your preference.

In addition, an e-learning course developed specifically for onboarding is available. This course provides new employees with interactive learning content, which they can access flexibly at any time or from any location.

Women´s networks

Forschungszentrum Jülich offers you the opportunity to network with like-minded people and actively participate in women’s networks.
