„I optimize perovskite solar cells. This relatively new type of solar cell is very promising because it is inexpensive to produce and theoretically also very efficient. However, these solar cells do not yet have a long enough service life and are unable to achieve the predicted efficiency. I am investigating the processes responsible for this at the atomic level. I aim to process the findings in such a way that the design of the solar cells can be adapted accordingly. “
