Focus on New Battery Systems

Jülich, 28 February 2012 – The goals of the Federal Government's energy and climate policy call for major restructuring of the energy supply. A central aspect concerns the storage of energy and highly efficient energy conversion. In order to promote research specifically on this topic, the Helmholtz Association has launched a Helmholtz Energy Alliance on stationary electrochemical storage and conversion. Forschungszentrum Jülich is coordinating the new cooperative research programme composed of members of the Helmholtz Association and universities.
