German and Indian Delegations Visit Jülich

Jülich, 18 September 2012 – A two-day meeting at Forschungszentrum Jülich was concerned with intensifying cooperation between India and Germany in the field of research policy. The delegations were welcomed by Karsten Beneke, the vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of Forschungszentrum Jülich. The official German-Indian discussions on scientific and technical cooperation held at Jülich were led by Thomas Rachel, parliamentary state secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and Dr. Thirumalachari Ramasami, secretary to the Government of India, Department of Science and Technology. Both outlined developments in research policy in their countries and expressed their satisfaction with the development of cooperation.
