Helmholtz Provides Initial Aid to Young Scientists
Berlin / Jülich, 7 December 2012 – The Helmholtz Association has launched a new programme to support scientists who have recently received their PhDs and help them to kick-start their academic careers. The new programme’s first 37 candidates – seven of whom are from Forschungszentrum Jülich – were selected from all of the Helmholtz Centres by a panel of experts. They will receive up to € 300,000 over a two- to three-year period to pursue a research project of their choice, with a view to establishing themselves in their field of research.
