Influence of Asian Monsoon on European Climate

HALO research aircraft returns from Shannon after successful mission

Jülich/Shannon, 25 October 2017 – The five-week WISE measurement campaign headed by Forschungszentrum Jülich and Johannes-Gutenberg University of Mainz (JGU) was successfully concluded on Monday. One of the campaign’s objectives is to investigate the effects that the Asian monsoon has on air masses in the lower stratosphere, which play an important role in the variability of our climate.
