Renewable Energy Would Help the Desert Go Green
Jülich, 10 September 2018 – An expansion of wind turbines and solar installations would lead to more rain in the Sahara and the Sahel region, according to a report by an international team of researchers in the current issue of Science. On the Science Media Centre’s website, scientists from various research institutions, including Prof. Stefan Kollet from the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences – Agrosphere (IBG-3), offer their views on the matter.
