Award-Winning Research into Solar Cells of the Future
Jülich, 4 March 2020 – Prof. Michael Saliba is among the recipients of this year’s Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize awarded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The physicist is being honoured for his innovative and internationally respected research in the field of perovskite solar cells. These are viewed as promising candidates for the photovoltaic modules of the future. The 36-year-old heads the Helmholtz young investigators group FRONTRUNNER at Jülich’s Photovoltaics subinstitute and teaches at TU Darmstadt. The prize is worth € 20,000.
