Project COSIMA: Intelligent Inspection from the Air

Innovative and comprehensive analysis of photovoltaic systems

Nuremberg/Jülich, 28 September 2020 – Photovoltaic systems are a central factor to the energy transition. To ensure that they continue to perform well after many years, they must be checked and maintained regularly. The aim of the COSIMA research project is an efficient and intelligent inspection that provides recommendations for action to ensure continued economical operation. The research project, which was started in July 2018, is coordinated by the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg. It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
