Martin Winter Awarded Volta Medal by Electrochemical Society

Jülich, 9 October 2020 – Prof. Martin Winter was awarded the Alessandro Volta Medal today for his pioneering research in electrochemistry. The Electrochemical Society (ECS) awards the prize every two years for outstanding research in this field. The chemist, who is head of the Helmholtz Institute Münster (HI MS) – a branch office of Forschungszentrum Jülich – and of the MEET Battery Research Centre at the University of Münster (WWU), received the prize at a virtual meeting of the ECS.
