Young Scientists Awarded Top Marks in “Researching”

Jülich, 14 February 2022 – The physicists were the ones to beat this year, taking first place in three categories at the 22nd regional young scientists’ competition “Jugend forscht – Schüler experimentieren” at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The judges, headed by competition director Dr. Melanie Schürmann, also chose a regional winner for the best interdisciplinary project. A total of 51 children and young people participated in the event and presented 31 projects. They came from schools in Aachen, Bad Münstereifel, Herzogenrath, Jülich, Kerpen, and Stolberg. The winners will now advance to the state competitions for North Rhine-Westphalia.
