Nature-Friendly Wax Crayons, Filters from Nylon Tights, Paper from Corn and Much More – Competitive Research at FZJ

17.02.2025

Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for research were the focus of the regional “Jugend forscht” competition, which took place for the 25th time at Forschungszentrum Jülich last Friday. Talented young people from Jülich, Düren, Aachen, and the surrounding area presented their innovative projects and impressed the jury with their ideas. Three first places were won by the Jülich-West primary school in the “Jugend forscht Junior” category. Another first place went to a project from the Bischöfliche Liebfrauenschule school in Eschweiler. In the “Jugend forscht” category, 17-year-old Emily Hein from the Franken-Gymnasium Zülpich school impressed the judges with her research and took first place.
