With the launch of JUPITER, Europe’s first exascale supercomputer will go into operation at Forschungszentrum Jülich. “Joint Undertaking Pioneer for Innovative and Transformative Exascale Research”, or JUPITER for short, is the first system in Europe with a computing power of more than one quintillion floating-point operations per second. Designed and operated by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre, JUPITER will mark a new era in supercomputing in Germany and Europe.
The inauguration ceremony of the exascale supercomputer JUPITER will take place on Friday, 5 September 2025, from 12:00 registration and from 13:00 with reception at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
