Inventions from Jülich are making their way into the real world — step by step, idea by idea. In 2024 alone, our researchers submitted 70 new invention disclosures. With over 400 active patent families and around 90 technologies available for transfer, one thing is clear: Intellectual property is a key driver in our journey from research to real-world impact.

Jülich holds around 400 active patent families worldwide. This global portfolio safeguards our technologies in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. – often in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
