New Seismological Station at Meteorological Tower

Since May, a seismometer recently installed next to the meteorological tower on the campus of Forschungszentrum Jülich has been recording earthquakes and also artificial shocks. Thanks to a collaboration between Safety and Radiation Protection (S) and the seismological station of the University of Cologne in Bensberg, it will soon be possible to access the data on the internet with a delay of less than half an hour. The data will therefore serve as important background information for experiments.
