David DiVincenzo Now Humboldt Professor

Jülich, Berlin, 13 May 2011 – High distinction for scientist from Forschungszentrum Jülich: David DiVincenzo was honoured with an Alexander von Humboldt Professorship in Berlin on 12 May. In addition to the physicist, seven other scientists received this international award endowed with the highest prize money for research in Germany. Within the framework of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA), DiVincenzo will become head of the newly founded Institute of Theoretical Quantum Information at RWTH Aachen University and will at the same time head the Peter Grünberg Institute - Theoretical Nanoelectronics (PGI-2) at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
