Technology for Girls at Forschungszentrum Jülich

Forschungszentrum Jülich once again offered school girls the opportunity to test their handiwork skills in fun competitions and creative projects. During this year's Girls and Technology Days, they worked with all kinds of tools to get an idea of what is required in scientific professions as well as skilled trades and technical occupations. The 154 girls come from schools in Düren, Niederzier-Merzenich, Jülich, Linnich, Titz, Langerwehe, Kreuzau and Nideggen; they were supervised by twenty trainees of Forschungszentrum Jülich. Once again this year, the Girls and Technology Days were organized by Forschungszentrum Jülich and its Vocational Training Centre in cooperation with the Düren district, the town of Jülich, and the Federal Employment Agency in Düren.
