New Jülich Supercomputer JUQUEEN One of World's Ten Fastest

Jülich, 19 June 2012 – Jülich's new supercomputer, JUQUEEN, has taken eighth place on the Top500 list of the most powerful supercomputers in the world which was published yesterday. JUQUEEN has 131,072 cores and can reach a peak performance of 1.6 petaflops, corresponding to 1.6 quadrillion (1015) floating point operations per second.
