Transport Protein with Dual Function

Scientists from the University of Freiburg and IBG-1 at Forschungszentrum Jülich have investigated on a molecular level how proteins pass through biomembranes. In so doing, they discovered that a key molecule for the transport has a dual function. The new findings have now been published in the respected scientific journal Nature Communications.
