Scientists Search Oceans for New Enzymes

14 April 2015 – Researchers from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) working at Forschungszentrum Jülich are exploring the biodiversity of the oceans in a new international consortium, INMARE (INdustrial Applications of MARine Enzymes: Innovative screening and expression platforms to discover and use the functional protein diversity from the sea). The aim is to develop new technologies which can, for example, be of assistance in the battle against cancer or environmental pollution.
