Nanoelectronic Days 2015: Insights into the World of Green IT

Jülich, 28 April 2015 – The hot topic at the Nanoelectronic Days 2015 is green information technology. For the rest of this week, international experts from science and industry will be exchanging views on the latest achievements and new approaches that can be used to reduce the amount of energy consumed by information technology. The opening session on 27 April featured presentations by world-class scientists from IBM and leading scientific institutions such as the Swiss university EPFL, the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, as well as RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich. The two latter institutions jointly organized the event within the framework of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA).
