Jülich Expertise: Plants React Differently to Climate Change Than Previously Believed
Jülich, 2 December 2015 – More CO2, more plant growth: this is the simple formula behind several climate models. Yet many plants react differently – namely, with less transpiration. In other words, they release less water into the atmosphere. The consequences of this are still unclear. Biologists at Forschungszentrum Jülich will investigate the phenomenon starting in spring 2016 with a new experimental setup.
